 Reframing
Exposure CD Cover
The
curators for an art exhibit at the Richmond Art Center, who were also
the owners of Morphos Gallery, wanted to present a catalog of the artists'
work in an interactive format within the art gallery, as opposed to the
traditional printed catalog.
The
exhibit was to feature the artwork of more than twenty local artists,
who used photography and the image of the human body in their work. The
exhibit was inspired by the work of famous photographer, Muybridge.
 Muybridge
is best known for documenting the motion of the body through photography,
and his famous stop-action photographs of racing horses, which were taken
to see if all hooves hit the ground at the same time.
This
interactive catalog was to be its own work of art within the exhibit,
and was to be designed to stand alone, separate from the exhibit, so that
it could be marketed as a CD-ROM at a later date.
 The
end product contained a screen saver that was designed by myself, that
would begin if the computer was untouched for a period of time, which
would cycle through the work of the artists, encouraging users to approach.
There was
a section for each artist that included work that wasn't in the exhibit,
as well as audio and video clips of the artist talking about their work.
I also designed a CD cover for the final project.
